Some have asked why are you opening a Web Site?

Quite frankly, there are several reasons. Since being elected, this council has dealt with, and continues to deal with many issues that the public is simply not aware of, and/or do not fully understand what is happening, or is anything being done at all. Council issues generally fall into three categories, Inherited, Current and Future. This site will allow all who visit an opportunity to keep informed on the status of ongoing issues, and my view on them. It will allow you to ask questions or give opinions on posted topics or matters not posted. Information will be updated where appropriate and added as issues arise.

This site will also provide ALL the facts on issues that are being misrepresented publicly. Providing only one persons view, publicizing only half the facts or any issue that is intended to mislead the public, or discredit me personally, will be responded to. As you are all aware the rumour mill is alive and well, and I have heard many of them regarding me personally, members of council, and directions or positions I have taken as the Mayor.

This site will also allow the public to know what I am working on and scheduled to be doing, on matters other than the routine meetings of council.

I as Mayor I have been working hard to develop closer relationships, open or improve communications and understanding with all communities that “we” live with and depend on socially and economically. When I say “we” I mean all residents and tax payers in Fort Frances. I have and will continue to discuss issues and inform the public on matters that previously were not openly discussed. My agenda is simply dealing with all matters with the best interests of our community as a whole in mind, and providing opportunity for input from the public.

I do not represent any one group or cause, and do not believe in, the crisis management approach to issues that can, and should include long term planning and the impact all decisions will have for the future of Fort Frances, and our surrounding communities. I will do my best to respond to questions and concerns on a timely basis, which will be dictated by the number of requests, my schedule, and spending time with my family. Your visit to this site shows that you care about our community, the issues and our future.
